The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences offers 22 undergraduate majors, 41 undergraduate minors, and a master of arts in writing. Because we view education as a personal and individual experience, our goal is to challenge and engage each of our students.
Highlighted Opportunities The college offers opportunities for undergraduate students to present their findings and scholastic work in the Undergraduate Student Symposium and the Farquhar Student Journal. The Clinic Exploration Program allows students to shadow health care professionals in NSU’s diverse clinics. The Undergraduate Honors Program is an interdisciplinary opportunity for high-achieving students who will benefit from innovative classes, collaboration with faculty members, and one-on-one interactions with visiting Distinguished Speakers. The college’s Travel Study Program presents a variety of unique courses in relevant international settings. Students may attend academic conferences with their professors, assist in specialized research, or receive field training in the local community. The Performings and Visual Arts Wing of the University Center, managed by the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, is home to an array of Performing and Visual Arts programs. The performance, production, and rehearsal facilities offer a professional-caliber setting for studies in theatre, music, dance, and visual arts. |
